mishmash of what's happening :)

Just back with a short update of what's up with me the previous weeks :)

Gave Flor a visit after hearing raves from friends around! ;)

The cakes look super mini with him!! haha

We had their signature strawberry Shortcake and Choc Fruit cake as well ;)
They were delicious I must say, but slightly less than what I had expected in mind! still a gd place to have tea time with galfriends/friends ;)

Finally get to try this!! It's so hard to locate Choc Origin cause I don't stay in the east! Glad they decided to open a branch in 313 Somerset ;) It's really yummy cause I'm just a choc fanatic =p However it's rather pricey, $5 for a small cup of this goodness! Once in a while, I will say its worth it to indulge and pamper urself =P!

Had a quick lunch over at Bakerzin before heading back for mooreee lessons =((

Call us crazy or wad, we bought 3 pints of Cold Stone awesome GOODness at $100!! LOL...actually cause we had cash vouchers so we decided to splurge all at cold stone =p We ordered Oreo Overload, Mud Pie Mojo and Cheesecake Fantasy! ;) oh and not forgetting, yummy Chilli Crabs to indulge in! Now I have more fats to clear liao =x

2nd trove for March, Brighten up! =D

Was selected to be one of the participants for Fashion Fast Forward Group Survey. I'm thrilled to be part of you though it's just a small minor task cum chit chat session! It's good to know what F3 group is planning up for the new 'revamped' Fashion Fast Forward Member Community, do look out for it! ;)
As a token of appreciation, I was given $50 voucher to spend!! Yay to more awesome goodness! ;)
Headed to topshop straight after haha! =D

Tried on their Leigh Series of Jeans! My oh my, they are so uber comfy and chic!! Can I own one color each pls =P! Floral and prints are so in now, they simply perk up one's outlok instantly! ;) The jeans only cost me $75 after 15% discount! yay!!! =D

The next ongoing event for Topshop. In collaboratino with Fashion Step Out week, Topshop has a makeshift shop set up outside Mandarin Gallery! You can purchase $20 topshop vouchers for only $15! It comes with a free unique tote too! The prints are really quirky and vibrant! ;) You can also customize ur totes there ;)
On top of that, you will get this cute camera for free if you buy 4 $20 vouchers! Super good value!;) Head over if you are free!;)

Lastly, *gasps* at the amount of clothing I have recently to review! =x will try review them soon! ;)

ASTALIFT Skincare Workshop by VanityTrove :)

I was thrilled to be invited by VanityTrove to attend 'Go for Glow by ASTALIFT' workshop yesterday at Reebonz Space :) A fun-filled first time experience of mine ;) Cheers to more ahead I hope =p

An interesting fact: ASTALIFT was founded by FUJIFILM! Yes, you might be wondering how 2 non-related fields could come together. Fujifilm focuses on Total Collagen Care particularly for 'base of our skin'! Astalift products contain the most important ingredient - Astaxanthin. It is one of the carotenoids tbat has a natural ability to protect against damaging free radicals or reactive oxygen. It is commonly found in prawns, salmon etc.
However not to worry, the astaxanthin used on Astalift Skincare are all extracted from microorganisms.
Interesting fact: Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant with potency about 1000x more powerful than CoQ10!

Hello there! :) Waiting for the event to kickstart ;)

Here's the proper skincare regime to follow with ASTALIFT skincare! Never underestimate the power of proper skincare regime!
Do you know our skin is divided into different layers, with epidermis being the outermost layer followed by the dermis layer. Whenever we exfoliate our skin, we are removing dead skin cells on the epidermis layer for better absorption of our skincare products. Epidermis takes 28days to regenerate, but it takes 5-6years for a dermis layer to regenerate!! YES, it's YEARS! So never be lazy and do proper protection from now on ;)
1st step,

Cleanser: Cleansing Gel/Oil
It's really like a water based product! It's not oily or sticky at all! and trust me, it removes all makeup and dirt effortlessly! Was amazed at how non sticky it is and its power to remove makeup! ;)

2nd step,
Wash: Liquid Soap/ Moisture foam

This is the foam produced! It's really different from normal foam facial wash that I have seen. It's thick luxe foam which Japanese people believe in that will help remove traces of makeup and dirt from skin more effectively! It's a mild foaming cleanser.
Interesting fact: Too much foam in a traditional facial cleanser consists of high SLS (foaming agent) which may stripe off skin natural moisture!

Beatrice trying out making the foam! ;) Just place some cleanser on a facial sponge, add minimal amount of water and just keep on squeezing it with ur hand! That simple! ;) Our lovely instructor btw, she's Ruby Tan! Gorgeous lady:)

3rd step,

Pre-lotion Serum: Jelly Aquarysta (Award winning Star Product)
It contains Astaxanthin, Human-type Nano Ceramide and 3 collagens! The first product in the skincare range that makes use of Nanotechnologyto deliver those active ingredients straight through to the deeper layers of our skin quickly and efficiently! It promises to enhance the skin's moisture retention ability, strengthening dry or damaged skin!

It's really Jelly-like! It's quite rich but doesnt have an after-sticky/oily feel! It gets absorbed real quick too!Now I know why Japanese went crazy over this product! ;)

4th step,

Lotion:Lotion/Lotion S/ Whitening Lotion
The lotion S is a more refreshing formula! It helps to condition skin to help penetration of serum that follows! Skin becomes supple and moisturized.
As for the Whitening Lotion, it provides moisture to nourish skin. It also prevents blemishes and freckles caused by UV Rays.
Interesting Tip: Instead of buying tons of facial masks outside to cater to ur skin needs, why not just soak paper masks (easily found in Sasa stores) in the lotion and viola, you have urself a facial mask! ;)

Fooling around with the lotion as an eye mask or simply let it soak and absorbed into my skin =P 5th step,

Essences: Essence/Whitening Essence
It helps to renew skin's vigour and radiance by providing vital nutrients and nourishers!

6th Step,

Emulsions: Emulsion/ Cream
Both helps in providing moisture and seal it within skin, which results in smooth resilient skin! It's rather personal preferences as to which you will use :)

7th Step,

Eye Cream
It contains Artemia extract and Trehalose on top of the normal ingredients. It's smooth and luxurious, with a light after-feel. It helps to bring uplifting radiance to the eye area!

Final Step,

Day Protection: Day Protector SPF35/PA++
It contains Hyaluronan on top of Astaxanthin and 3 collagens. It's meant to protect skin from harmful UV rays and great as a makeup base! ;)
Interesting Tip: To choose the right amout of SPF that suits you, just take the time it takes for ur skin to start to feel burning under hot sun (usually 10mins) x SPF Factor (in this case 35) = Duration of Protection (in this case 350min)! ;)
Night: Night Cream
It helps skin cells to regenerate even when we are sleeping at night!

Special Care,
Moisturizing Mask! :)

Ruby is demonstrating how to use the mask on the founder of Vanitytrove, Douglas Gan! :)
It's special in the sense that it's a multi-direction stretchable mask that lifts and tightens skin for a firmer visage! It promises to firm supple skin as you deep-hydrate! It is able to quench skin's thirst with the equivalent of a bottle of ASTALIFT essence!
Other supplements include Collagen Drink 10000, Collagen Powder, White Shield Drink and White Shield Tablets :)
