-Food Porn- 11.11.11 :)

Eeks, Sorry for the lack of updates till the point it has collected quite a layer of dust :x School was a torture with never ending tests and quizzes and exams creeping near, very near till it's hard to breathe at times.Wish it will be over soon.

Nonetheless, decided to give myself a break after one of my test on friday, 11.11.11 ;) Special date that happens once in every 100 years. Headed out to explore new places for food! Have to admit being a food junkie has its pros and cons! Get to try out different varieties of food, different ambiences and admiring the creativity of shop owners showcasing their fruit of labor to us :) Cons is none other than the amount of calories turn to fats accumulating up in me! Exercise regime soon, hee! :)

What's on Me:

LoveBonito's Wisteria Blouse in Coral, Uniqulo Leggings, Hermes Cuff, Burberry Watch

Love the effect DSLR gives! :)

This time round, we explored to the heart of Serangoon :) It's hidden in the middle of many landed properties! These 2 shops were just next to each other! Great places to chill for families, friends and even couples! ;) Highly recommended to go try it out, psssttt, another plus point would be NO gst and service charge, yet the service were superb! Kudos to them! :)

Settled for dinner at The Fat Cat Bistro ;)

It's like a coffee shop transformed cafe/bistro! :) There's a wide array of food choices, from thai to western to north indian cuisines! Yummy! ;) There's even daily chef specials too! ;) Not forgetting if you are a beer fan, they are famous for their Hoegaarden beer too ;)

It seems to be a favourite hangout place for Caucasians living around the vicinity too;)

Our drinks recommended by the staff ;) Sparkling Refreshing!

1 of the items on the Chef's Specials: Escargot!;)

Garlic Buttery taste wasn't that strong, thus you can still taste the sweetness of the escargot! Yums! The button mushrooms were soaked with the juices that it simply burst into rich flavours in your mouth! ;)

Pork Steak ;)

Lamb T-Bone :)

These 2 mains were of huge portions, that came with any 2 sides from the selected menu! ;) Both were grilled to puurrrfection! ;) Love how tender the meat is, ahh..mouth watering.! I wish to have it in front of me now as I blog! :p

We ordered Tom Yum Soup too for a tryout! Succulent prawns, loads of other fresh ingredients, however, I feel the spicyness has empowered the whole soup! Definitely there's other places that have nicer Tom Yum Soup :)

Overall, I would recommend this place to friends! ;) They were reasonably priced and of huge portions too!

Next up, we left some space in our tummies for Desserts! =D I'm sure nobody could resist desserts after a meal, so try out this place that's just 1 shop away, Wimbly Lu!

Aren't you loving the Vintage VolksWagen Beetle parked right outside the store already? ;)

Psst, it belongs to 1 of the bosses ;)

What greeted me upon entering: Whole range of desserts and Hand-made Chocolates ;)

Ambience was great! The cozy, homely feeling within, specially decorated back corners of the store ;)

Love how all these settings matched with the bricked walls to bring out the 'feel' of this store ;)

They do serve main Courses as well, not only Desserts ;)

We decided try Chocolate Creme Brulee, but a slight mistake on the staff part led us to try out their Double Choc Cheesecake! Look at how it smiles at me, alluring me to indulge in it right away! ;) Love the richness of the dark choc that blends well together with the cheese! 2 of my most favourite ingredients in this creation, I simply love it ;)

We also tried their home-made Ice cream, taking double which allows us to choose 2 flavours of the day, Double Choc and Rum&Rasins. ;) Definitely worth every penny! ;)

Packed home some lovely Chocolate Truffles that were handmade for me to snack on while mugging for exams! ;) Love the packaging, especially for the largest size! I bought the smallest to try it out and they were delicious! :)

No GST, No Service Charge, Reasonably Priced Desserts, Cozy Ambience, Great service and food, what more to ask for? :)

If you are a HUGE choc fan, try out this place :)

Crochet Fever =D

I'm back :)

Life has been hectic with tons of unfinished schoolwork. Time flies past real fast! Unknowingly, I have pass 6 weeks of studies to date..

Loads of fashion news lately, with the opening of H&M that cause a craze among Singaporeans; and the glala opening of 1 of the 12 in the world's Louis Vuitton Island Maison at MBS! 4 storeys of irresistable clothing and accessories, really tempting me much :) What amazed me more is the effort LV team took for the gala opening, with guest start appearances like Chow Yun Fatt, Cate Blanchett, Nataka, Godfrey Gao etc. So wish I were there! hee..

Anyway it was crochet fever for me this season! =D So hard to find pieces that I adore; thus sulking every other day..till I finally had the chance to walk into Zara and found loads more designs in stock! Was amazed at the numerous pieces that I found, including top, sweater, shorts etc! =D

Amount of crochet pieces to date:

Missed the buying chance of LoveBonito's Walsh Lace Top and feeling sad.. but I'm so happy when I found the exact same design while shopping in BKK =D It has a cute side pocket too =)

Antoinette :)

Just want to introduce a good hangout place for couples getaways, girlfriends' tea party, friends' gatherings etc. This place is awesome. Antoinette is the place I wanted to recommend today ;) Not doing any commercials for this shop, but just wish to have a good review about this place :)
It's located at Penhas Rd near Lavender; or you may wish to check out their latest outlet at Mandarin Gallery. From twitter, I can see that most have been to the one at Mandarin Gallery already :)

If you prefer a less crowded, more cosy ambience, I would strongly suggest the store at Penhas Rd :) Do note that their dishes do require some nice patience waiting, and I guarantee you will love it!

The lovely menu, ambience that greeted you upon entering the shop! OH, and I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THE CAKE! Can I have a 5-tier real cake identical to this on my wedding day? ;) hee! Boring boy trying to wait patiently for our food to arive :)

He had Chicken Pen Leg Dish (not quite sure of the full name) and I had Seafood Alio Olio! I have always been a fan of tossing pasta through drizzles of olive oil, generous amount of garlic and chilli, the aglio olio way! =D Have been searching high and low for a restaurant that serves good Aglio Olio and let me tell you, you wont regret ordering this and even had it finished up till the last bits! Yup, it's that good! =)

We are both fans of pancakes and ever since we lost touch of Riders Cafe Pancakes last time (bad news, they won't be bringing back that dish anymore!); we have been trying through different stores. Another good thing is that Antoinette serves all day breakfast ;)

The blueberry pancakes were done just of the right texture and the winning touch has to go to the cream! Awesome goodness and it makes me wanted to ask chef for it's recipe! But don't dare hee..Oh and before we left, Chef Pang(owner; really nice guy!) introduce us to a popularity dessert amongst customers - Pudding Caramel ! That added extra happiness to our faces to end off the night! It's super smooth, and the trick is to eat one corner all the way down, grab hole of the ultra-rich caramelized syrup to go with the pudding! Heavenly good and sinful ;)

Make sure to exercise for a week thereafter! haha =x

A sweet way of sending bills to our table :) Managed to grab hold of the waiter to take a photo as remembrance for us :) Will definitely patronize them again soon <3 =D

What I wore:
LoveBonito's Sage Suede Shorts in Burnt Orange Size S
Crochet Top from BKK
Burberry Watch
Marilyn Tan's braided bracelet
Mango Boxy Bag
LoveBonito's Sandals (not shown)

Went for some stimulated golf fun at killiney - Swing Perfection! Look at him in action! Sometimes I do find that position abit awkward. haha..

Just end it off with my recent new buys:

My new Ipad2 and an absolutely adorable cover ;) so hard to find a nice cover hee!

Decided to grab this after reading Bagaholicboy's post on this Coach Classics Shoulder Purse. It's a limited edition Design and available in 4 different colors! Immediately I knew I had to get vermillion, it's so me!! and I'm glad to receive it with the help of The Bag Passione! This design will not be available in Singapore, ONLY in US. So yup, I'm really happy carrying it out! ;) It can be a small clutch too, removing the strap :) If you wish to know more details about this new found love of mine, do hop over to Bagaholicboy's Blog to find out more! :)

On a side note, cough ain't recovering still and it sucks =( People looked at me in bus thinking I'm some epidemic..gosh..hate this feeling..please let me get well soon!

Till then people!

Recent OFTDs :)

I'm officially sick. Caught cold and has been coughing my lungs out lately that it's depriving me ofby beauty sleep. =( probably due to the lack of rest from work and trip the past vacation break. Gona miss quite abit of lessons and I'm thankful for the friends that I'm blessed with to help me with notes for those classes :)

So since I have some free time before my medicine combo knocks me off into my bed, I shall post up some of my recent outfits ;)

I'm so into lace and crochet stuff lately!

Zara's Crochet Low Back Dress
Marilyn Tan Braided Rope Bracelet
Burberry Watch

Last thursday, I made a trip down to my usual favourite haircut haunt, SalonVim to get my hair prepared for school ;) My oh my do I love my new haircut so much, although still not quite used to it ;) Thank god for the forever talented hairstylist Gary, for this wonderful new look of me ;)

What I wore:

I'm so in love with this Smooch Dress although it's not a SmoochLabel. It's a collaboration piece with lilypirates. Nothing to be picky or unhappy about cause this dress has an awesome cutting that will hide all bulges and flaunt off one's figure nicely! ;) Included is also a same colored sash for you to hide away the elastic waistband, thoughtful indeed! What I love is also the contrast black rope straps which gave this dress a twist that's to die for ;) hee! Feel like grabbing another color already, anyone wants to sell to me? :) haa

School officially started and I' m happy with the 4 day school week that I have gotten, despite the numerous trouble I have to go through to attain the number of credits to clear for this semester. Heaved a sign of great relief!
School started means it's time for more dressing up fun! ;) Except thursday, where I have to be all covered up for lab :/

Ah, love all these comfy outfits to last me through long hours in school! Chiffon Drape Cardigans is a nice design to complement different outfits, as well as to battle the cold air conditioning in lecture halls; without having to worry for the hot humid weather outside.

P/s: I'm really really in love with anything suede/lace/crochet! I'm crazy till the point that I actually camped for LoveBonito's previous launch on the Sage Suede Shorts and carted out in every color! =D Yeap, that's how crazy I'm! hee I have already worn 2 colors out, Light Khaki and Burnt Orange (will be shown in next post) ! The delicate soft touch to my skin, the ultimate comfort it gives, with the paperbag high waisted effect to add touch to any outfit look, I simply couldn't stop wearing it! =D Oh and my long awaited Crochet Shorts from ASOS has arrived! =D
Can't wait to wear it out! Hee, knocking off to bed now, till then people! :)

May god blessed everyone with the utmost perfect health possible.

Bangkok Trip :)

School has started with a busy week..A handful of mixed feelings..happy that school has started, but also had the fear of obstacles that are lying ahead in academics for this sem..in a blink of an eye, 2 years had passed and I will be graduating in another 2 years time! Till now, I'm still clueless on the path I will be taking after studies.. Excited yet scared at the same time :/ oh well..

Shall blog about my bkk trip a few weeks back before holidays officially ended :)
Fun, interesting, shopping, good yummy authentic thai food sums up basically all about this trip briefly! ;) Will definitely be visiting bkk again! You will be amazed how courteous people may be when taking public transport as compared to Singaporeans even; despite the lawless traffic on the roads =.=!

Something that I bought at Duty free to add to my Collection ;) Handy purse size too!

The cute MRT card that's extinct in Singapore, a random shop pic which I secretly snap in Platinum Fashion Mall just because I wanted the biggest toy bear but couldn't bring back! =(

Us all ready to go for more Shopping and Sightseeing! He's enjoying the famous Spicy Mango Salad on board a tuk tuk ;)

What I wore(Top):
Hollyhoque Top
VS Red Shades
LoveBonito Clutch
Swatch Watch

What I wore (Bottom):
LoveBonito BASICS Lime Tank
Accessories as above

Food Galore Time! Not much time for me to take all my food pics cause we were famished almost all the time due to all the walking and shopping! ;) heh heh!

Thai Green Curry that's mad awesome! ;) Not forgetting, Spicy Thai soup Fishball Noodles! Yummy! =D

Their KFC is so much different from ours! Look at the coleslaw! Generous amount of corns, peas, carrots and guess what, TUNA FISH! So much nicer than SG can!

Something like a thai snack to the locals, fried grasshoppers, lizards, maggots etc.. Eww I don't have the guts to try as I have a super weak tummy! According to him, grasshopper and maggots taste the best. The worst is lizard! haha.. Oh and the locals actually warn us not to eat the cockroaches as it has a funny taste, but ironically the uncle is still selling it ;/ haha oh well, go try if you dare! =D

Shopping Loots! On a note, not all were taken! Most apparels were not taken! ;)

We decided to leave the 2nd last day to go sightseeing at Ayuthaya (an hour plus train ride from bkk):

Took elephant ride upon reaching there, awesome sceneries and really of tranquility places. I found inner peace visiting all these temples.

I would really love to visit this beautiful place again :) But I do learn something, really have to be thick skin to bargain for better prices next time >.

Alright, heading to bed now, till then people! :)

The world would not stop turning because of you & me...
